The Former Mayor of Labasa Town, Paul Jaduram who spent years living and working in Labasa says things have started to change through the look north policy.

Jaduram, who is a hotelier and entrepreneur says a lot of developments are taking place but the lack of employment opportunities is a hurdle.

“Labasa needs to have bigger factories and more employment opportunities to employ thousands of people. Currently we have sugar mills, timber mills and people work in civil service. Our farming sector can also contribute a lot apart from sugar and we can also depend on root crops.”
