Labasa civil servants ordered to improve services

Services provided by the government in the Northern division needs to improve says Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama.

Bainimarama is currently touring the Northern Division inspecting progress made on government development projects.

“Upon arrival here in the Northern Division Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama directed the Commissioner Northern Lieutenant Illai Moceica to make sure civil servants in the North step up with their services to the people.

Bainimarama made the comment upon visited a big farm here in Bua.

The PM was told by the two farmers the difficulties they were facing. The fault was on government services.

Bainimarama says he was not happy with what he had heard from the two farmers as their problem was due to poor government services.

The PM directed Colonel Moceica to sort out the issue and must see that government services in the North is up to par.

Bainimarama has also visited the new Bua Nursing Station and is expected to visit the Vunitoa Bore-hole site before finishing the day after seeing the government development projects in Labasa."
