November 28, 2018 6:40 pm

Minister for Employment Parveen Kumar says he will stand by his statement made in parliament regarding the National Federation Party making a coalition before election.

Kumar claims that NFP and SODELPA had started talking about possible coalition before the 2018 general election.

When questioned in parliament yesterday, the Minister says he stands by his word.

“I stand by what I said and I just want Prasad to deny or accept what I have said in parliament.”

However, NFP Leader Professor Biman Prasad says NFP and SODELPA never spoke about any coalition and Kumar’s claims are not true.

“We were never in any formal coalition with SODELPA and that remains so all these lies that FijiFirst leader, his General Secretary and people like Bala were telling outside the parliament is continuing.”

Meanwhile, Kumar claims both NFP and SODELPA are still hiding under the carpet and not telling their supporters the truth.
