Kula Eco Park grabs Phoenix Award

The Kula Eco Park in the Coral Coast has scooped a major international award.

The nature park has won the Phoenix award for preserving nature and re-establishing the environment.

Outrigger on the Lagoon General Manager Peter Hopgood says this is tsurely going to make a difference among potential visitors.

“They do fantastic work at the Kula Eco Park in their breeding campaigns for iguanas and their preservation policy is second to none and this was acknowledged by the American travel writers so all the resorts in the coral coast, we send our guests to this wonderful attraction so we’re just so proud of Kula Eco Park.”

There’s only one award given out every year and Kula Eco Park has been recognized for 2012.

Meanwhile, Sigatoka hoteliers gave back to their community with a $32,000 donation to the Sigatoka District hospital, to help improve services.

Hopgood adds since they cater for more than 5000 tourists and employ over 4000 local staffs, there is a need for a better medical facilities.
