Koya to lead NFP at march

The National Federation Party will have its vice president Faizal Koya and other supporters based in Nadi, take part in the Fiji Trades Union Congress march tomorrow.

The march is organized in support of the striking Air Terminal Services workers.

NFP leader Biman Prasad along won’t be at the march as he is in India attending the PIO Parliamentary Conference with the other two NFP Members of Parliament— Parmod Chand and Prem Singh—an event also attended by some Indo-Fijian Government MPs.

The party says throughout its 54-year history they have always supported any legitimate and lawful action to highlight the plight and grievances of ordinary workers and aggrieved citizens.

Meanwhile, Police Commissioner, Sitiveni Qiliho, has reminded all those taking part in the march, to follow the rules.

FTU general secretary, Felix Anthony, says they will abide by the law and follow all terms set out in the march permit.
