Koya encourages tourism stakeholders to work together

Stakeholders in Fiji’s tourism sector have been urged to work together to assist in developing Fiji’s socio economic sector.

The comments were made by the Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism Faiyaz Koya, at the annual Sigatoka Bilibili race over the weekend.

The Minister says such events demonstrate the level of working relationship between stakeholders in Fiji’s tourism sector.

He says government will continue to work with tourism stakeholders to realise the full potential of the tourism industry towards Fiji’s overall development.

Employees from the hotel industry, National Fire Authority, Sigatoka District Hospital, police officers, Sigatoka Town Council, the University of the South Pacific and members of the public came out in numbers to support the day-long event at the Sigatoka riverside.

The Sigatoka Bilibili Race has been running for 31 years now.
