The National Fire Authority has plans to set up a fire station within the Korolevu area on the Coral Coast.

A fire broke out at the Naviti Resort last Thursday and it took firefighters from Sigatoka twenty five minutes to reach the resort .

NFA Chief Executive John O Connor says a fire station on the Coral Coast could be an option to reduce the extent of damage to buildings and properties in the vicinity.
