Police and Fire Brigade officers are carrying out operations along the Coral Coast moving people from their homes to the nearest evacuation centers.

Komave villager,Sakiusa Malai, says most people could not vacate their homes due to their belongings but upon advised from the team, people are now shifted to evacuation centers nearby.

Malai says all the houses in the village are without power except those ones that are connected to the hotels along the coral coast.
