Kings road is now closed due to several landslides this morning after heavy rains overnight.

The Fiji Roads Authority say the main highway is now fully closed at Malabe in Tailevu due to another landslide.

Police had earlier advised motorists of a landslide in Nabulini which resulted in the back up of traffic from ends of the road from Korovou as well as Rakiraki.

The FRA have also noted there were two landslides on Kings roads past Naivucini towards Suva which their contractor attended to first before dealing with a second landslide at Nabita Village in Rakiraki.

Police have highlighted that traffic officers have been deployed to the scene and motorists are advised to be patient while the relevant authorities clear the debris.
