The Kidney Foundation of Fiji has been recognized by the International Federation of Kidney Foundations (IFKF) after being placed second in the IFKF poster competition.

The announcement came at the end of the 16th IFKF Annual Meeting held in Tokyo, Japan last month.

Founding chair Dewan Maharaj says they are proud that the smallest kidney foundation and dialysis center member of the IFKF has been given this honour.

The poster was placed second after India, in the category of kidney foundation members and activities, and competed against submissions from Japan, Turkey and Malaysia.

The photo was donated to the KFOF by Pacific photographer Judith Ragg of Fiji and highlighted the dangers of NCD’s in Fiji.
