Kadell family responds to news of death

Family members of a 17-year old Queenslander, who drowned in Fiji, have expressed their gratitude to everyone who have assisted them.

In a statement, the Kadell family said they’ve been enveloped by love and support by their family and friends.

Harrison Kadell reportedly drowned at Plantation Island Resort where he was holidaying with some classmates.

Kadell was part of a group known as schoolies celebrating their final year in high school at the resort.

Harrison was described as a beautiful, kind, well-respected and fun-loving young man.

The Kadell family has requested privacy at this difficult time saying their concern now is Harrison’s mates who are still in Fiji as well as returning their son home.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Rusiate Tudravu says he is awaiting results of an autopsy conducted today.
