Juveniles reminded to focus on their future

Juveniles at Fiji’s Juvenile Rehabilitation and Development Centre have been encouraged to plan well for their future.

This was highlighted by the Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Rosy Akbar.

As part of the Ministry’s effort to broaden the vocational training opportunities offered at the Centre, the Ministry also handed over two sewing machines.

There are 15 juveniles staying at the Centre and it can accommodate for up to 30 juveniles.

The Centre also provides basic skills training ranging from baking, cooking, farming skills, joinery and carpentry work.
