Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama, has urged Fijians to join hands with the government and help those who have suffered from Tropical Depression 04F.
In his Christmas message Bainimarama says, we can overcome this challenge, emerge stronger and truly live out the Christmas spirit of love and kindness.
He’s urged all Fijians to make this Christmas a national celebration of unity by working side by side to assist those who need it most.
Bainimarama says Fiji has experienced great loss and exhilaration at the same time as this year Tropical Cyclone Winston devastated many parts of the country and the joy and pride that was felt in the triumph of our Rugby Sevens team at the Olympics.
He says this Christmas, we need to renew the spirit of hope, courage and compassion that brought us to where we stand today.
Bainimarama also acknowledged the civilian volunteers, police and UN peacekeepers for their services and sacrifice.
