Jobs have been advertised for the new Ministry of Civil Service.

Minister responsible Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, has announced that recruitment is now under way for twelve positions.

The role of the new Ministry is to oversee and implement overarching guidelines for all Government Ministries.

It set standards for hiring, evaluation, discipline and emoluments while still allowing Permanent Secretaries the flexibility to fulfill their responsibilities.

Sayed-Khaiyum says recruitment will be finalized in the new year.

He adds that this is an exciting change in line with the on-going Civil Service Reform.
