The organizers of the 2015 National Women’s Expo received a $63,000 sponsorship from the Japanese Government and the UNDP today.

The contribution has been made in line with the commitment to the Right Empowerment and Cohesion for Rural and Urban Fijians project.

Japanese Ambassador Takuji Hanatani says the REACH project in Fiji has made a good progress since it started in June this year.

“This is also highlighted in the series of events in the second national women’s expo such as REACH mobile service sessions where women can obtain information on the services provided by the Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation.”

The funding will allow the Ministry of Women to increase its reach to poor and underprivileged families in Fiji.
