Japanese government to provide financial assistance

The Japanese Government will provide financial assistance of over $508, 000 to three schools for upgrading projects.

These schools are Coloi-Naivakacere Primary School, Ratu Emeri Catholic and Uluivalili College.

The upgrading projects at these schools are being funded through Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Program

Japanese Ambassador to Fiji Masahiro Omura says the government of Japan prioritizes education as one of the most important components’ of national building.

As part of the upgrade two new classrooms will be built at Coloi-Naivakacere Primary School.

While three new classrooms each will be built at Ratu Emeri Catholic School and Uluivalili College.

Omura says the projects are in line with the Fijian government’s national development objectives.
