Japanese Government supports Nine Schools

The Japanese Government has provided a funding of over eight million dollars to support the recovery of Fiji’s education sector post TC Winston.

Japanese Ambassador to Fiji, Masahiro Omura, says they have supported a total of nine schools through the “Adopt a School Programme”.

“The Government of Japan has been actively involved in supporting Fiji’s recovery efforts post Tropical Cyclone Winston. Such harmonisation is key to Japan’s development cooperation with this country. It will further strengthen friendship between the people and government of Japan and Fiji.”

The nine schools assisted include the Varavu Sanatan Dharam School, Votua Catholic School, Koronubu Sangam School and Balevuto Public School in Ba.

Vunibokoi District School, Namena District School and Lawaki District School in Tailevu.

This also includes Toko Primary School in Tavua and Navatusila District School.
