IPP Workshop to boost data sharing

The Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources has stated that they will continue to work towards building a more resilient Fiji.

Speaking at the International Partnership Program workshop this morning, Lands Minister Faiyaz Koya says various ministries should work together to improve resilience towards climate change.

Koya says IPP will help Fiji improve disaster risk reduction and work towards the sustainable development of the country.

“And the International Partnership Program aims to build climate resilient in Fiji by improving access to climate Financing and enhancing food security
The program is expected to encourage a collaborative effort in the sharing of quality data through a national geospatial information management strategy.”

Meanwhile, the Lands and Mineral Resources ministry was allocated close to $5 million for the development of the Vanua Geospatial Information System.
