IPFF plans to conduct more training

The International Planned Parenthood Federation plans to conduct more training that will assist aid workers throughout the country.

IPPF Deputy Director Dr. Robyn Drysdale, says the federation thrives to equip these health workers who are based in rural and maritime areas.

Dr. Drysdale says it is crucial to upskill these health workers as they are first responders in times of emergency.

“Training a lot of Ministry of Health workers but also within other partners right throughout the different provinces within countries as well as the national level”.

The federation in partnership with other stakeholders is currently mobilizing its health and safety resources for future use.

“We are also working a lot to preposition the sorts of materials that might be needed in an emergency, we work in partnership with UNFPA around prepositioning dignity kits for example”.

The IPPF she also highlights will continue to safeguard the welfare of women in society.
