Police Chief of Intelligence ACP, Henry Brown says their investigation into
claims made by several women against a church pastor are at this point in time focusing on the criminal elements of the alleged offenses.
Brown has confirmed the church is not registered under the Religious Bodies Act.
However, he says their main focus is the criminal aspect of the claims made against the suspect.
Brown says as the case is also before the courts there are certain details of the ongoing investigation that cannot be made public until substantial progress has been made.
Jone Cokanauto, a pastor of Jezreel Lion of Judah has been charged with one count each of rape and indecent assault.
He has been remanded in custody until tomorrow when the court will rule on his application for bail.
