Investigation draft report received by USP VC

A draft report into matters relating to the allegation raised in the paper tabled by USP Vice-Chancellor was received on Friday

The report was submitted by the Independent Investigators, BDO Auckland last Friday.

The Deputy Pro-Chancellor Aloma Johansson and the Chairman of Audit and Risk Committee Mahmood Khan confirmed receiving the draft report.

The draft report was discussed in detail by the BDO team with the ARC and the DPC in a meeting held on the afternoon of 16th August.

The draft report has noted some has made some valuable observations and recommendations made by the independent investigator.

Johansson and Khan will now await the final report from BDO Auckland which will be presented to the Council in it’s Special Meeting scheduled to be held next Thursday and Friday.

The Independent Investigator looked into the allegations of serious cases of mismanagement and abuse of process at the University of the South Pacific.

The allegations have been made against USP’s former Vice-Chancellor and President.
