Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has told internal auditors to be professional in the work they do and not to bow down to pressure from their superiors.

Sayed-Khaiyum says the roles of internal auditors are more difficult than external auditors since they audit accounts within the organization.

The Attorney General was the keynote speaker during the opening of the Institute of Internal Auditors Conference at the InterContinental Hotel today.

Sayed-Khaiyum was speaking on the topic ‘who should they trust’ adding they can’t trust individuals but have to trust the system.
