Interesting submissions: Ghai

Constitution Commission chairman Professor Yash Ghai says they are optimistic that more people will turn up to make submissions.

The Constitutional Commission wants to see more young people step up and make submissions.

Ghai says it was interesting to see people of various ethnicities turning up at the Nasinu Town Council yesterday.

“We have had submissions on a range of issues and they were interesting submissions. Some addressed directly what you might call constitution issues and institutions. Some talked about policies, welfare which will also have an implication on the constutition.”

The Constitution Commission will resume with hearings from tomorrow.
