A diverse range of music – hymns, Lauan polutu, Hindi bhajan and songs from the Banaban and Rotuman communities will be heard at the service which will be held at Centenary Church in Suva, beginning at 10am.

For the first time in an induction service, scripture readers will be two women with disabilities using braille and sign-language.

Reverend Dr Epineri says we are celebrating our unity in diversity – that in Christ, we are one and that each of our traditions and cultures have a place and a space in our community of faith.

He says our sisters from the differently-abled community are a reminder for us that we must continue to work to be an inclusive Church.

He adds this is an important part of the church’s New Exodus.
