Sharing problems with trusted people plays a pivotal role in providing rehabilitation for inmates says Fiji Corrections Service, Senior Psychologist Elenani Vuru.

Vuru who has been the Psychologist for the Corrections Service since 2013 says to date rehabilitation with inmates have been successful.

She says one of the major challenge they face is trying to change the mind-sets of communities when these inmates are released back into the society.

She adds that it has also been positive to note that many of the inmates change their lives when they go through the rehabilitation process.
