Indian Government plans to do more for Fiji

The Indian Government has been assisting Fiji in various areas and they are now planning to expand their support.

Indian High Commissioner to Fiji Vishwas Sapkal highlighted this at the country’s 72nd Independence at the India House in Tamavua, Suva today.

Sapkal says they are looking forward to providing assistance to the Fijian Railway sector as upgrading will begin soon.

“Recently the team of (RITES) Rail India Technical Economic Services came to Fiji in February 2018 and they have already submitted report for the up-gradational of Fiji’s rail link which will be used for tourism purpose and more cargo transportation.”

Sapkal says this year’s Independence Day is a special one as Indian Navy officers from the “Sahaydri” joined the celebration.
