Indian experts to review sugar mill soon

The Indian government will be sending experts to review the sugar mill upgrade within a month.

This is a result of Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama’s visit to India o strengthen bilateral relations.

While meeting the Minister for External Affairs, Somanahalli Krishna, Bainimarama stressed Fiji’s relation with India has been a notable one and that we have a lot to learn fom the economic powerhouse.

Indian Ministers’ were also briefed on the roadmap to democracythe new constitution, electoral reforms, and review of policies.

He’s accompanied by the Executive Chairman of the Fiji Sugar Corporation, Abdul Khan for discussions on the sugar mill upgrading project and Co-generation of electricity, sugar refinery, and production of ethanol.

Experts will be sent over to rectify challenges associated with the industry.
