India signs MOU with MOG

India today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Observer Group which has been co-led by them, Australia and Indonesia.

India’s High Commissioner to Fiji, Vishvas Sapkal says that they’ve done this as it is exciting times for the country.

“We are happy to be part of the Multinational Observer Group, like in 2014, we are this time part of this again.”

Election Minister, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says that they are privileged to have these three countries as co-leaders for MOG in Fiji for the general election.

Sayed-Khaiyum earlier said that these observers will also ensure that a free and fair election is carried out.
