The increasing number of the Methodist Church members in prison worries the congregation.

Church President, Reverend Dr Epineri Vakadewavosa did not reveal the total number of his church members behind bars however he says that they are looking at ways to help address the issue.

“We are working very closely with the Department, with the Commissioner and his team, last week we conducted a Symposium which all ministers were there, divisional superintendents discussing the ways and means in which we can work together effectively. We are trying very hard in our partnership to reduce the high rising of our people in the Correctional Institutions.”
