“So I think that’s definitely worth exploring with the Child Services Unit to better understand what the issues are at the community level and at the family unit level. So I think, you know that is our next step at Save the Children Fiji, We would like to better understand the causes and be able to address these issues.”

Singh says having this number of cases is quite high for a small country like Fiji.

Meanwhile, the Child Services recorded 226 cases of Child Neglect last year, 416 cases in 2017 and 340 cases in 2016.
