Increase of vandalism on roads assets: FRA

The Fiji Roads Authority has seen an increase in the vandalising of some of its assets.
These assets include the damaging of street signs, street lights and bus shelters
Chief financial officer, Robert Sen, urged the public to look after these assets for their own benefits
“Our message to the public is that our infrastructure like street light and bus shelters that we’re building, it is for the public. If this vandalism will increase then the loss will be for them. Public will not be able to use these infrastructure that FRA has built for them.”
FRA says they will be working closely with the police and the Land Transport Authority to see how best they can recover the cost of vandalism on these infrastructures.
Fijians are advised to be vigilant and report all instances of vandalism to Police.
