He says they will establish a litter prevention community clean environment unit within the Department of Environment to organize clean up campaigns, annual clean schools and national clean village/community competitions.
Dr Reddy adds there a penalties in place if anyone breaches the Act.
“We want to go hard in terms of enforcing our litter Act, so that those people who are breaching the litter Act, they are fined and if they don’t pay their fine in the required specified period of time, then we will prosecute them.”
The Minister reiterates that the public can upload or send videos and photographs to his Ministries if they find anyone littering.
