December 5, 2014 3:49 am

The Immigration Department will be open its offices tomorrow to issue passports.

Immigration Director Nemani Vuniwaqa says delays were faced due to faulty software.

“We know we have deprived a lot of Fiji Nationals from the issuance of the passports in the past three four days we know that some have applied for urgent passports where due to travel arrangements that have already been facilitated but we did not issue books because of the software in our database.”

The Immigration office in the North and the West will also be open from to nine to one tomorrow to issue the passport.

Vuniwaqa says special arrangements have been made with Fiji Link to ensure that these divisions receive passports tonight.

The department has about thirty-three thousand passports which are enough to last until next year.
