Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has today told the people of Fiji that certain members of Parliament have been spreading sheer lies about his salary.

The PM says the opposition members have been saying he receives over three million in salary per annum, because he holds four ministerial portfolios.

Bainimarama says those who are involved in spreading these lies need to get their facts right and stop misleading Fijians.

“A member of parliament has put in his Facebook that I have about five portfolios and I get paid about 3.2 million dollars, I wish”

Bainimarama says no matter the number of portfolio’s he or any of his ministers hold, they all get paid only one ministerial salary.

“This is done to cut down the number of Minister’s we have so we can easily do things for Fiji.”

Banimarama has stated that government will continue to do what is best for all Fijians.
