A tripartite delegation consisting of the Government, employers’ and workers’ representative is attending the International Labour Organisation’s 16th Asia and the Pacific Regional Meeting in Bali Indonesia.
Employment and Industrial Relations Minister, Jone Usamate, says this year they will hold discussions on building an inclusive future with decent work and working towards sustainable development in Asia and the Pacific.
Usamate says the Report of the ILO Director-General will highlight the progress made in terms of decent work under the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, future changes, and the way forward.
He says other discussions include inclusive growth for social justice, fair migration with a focus on recruitment, skills for the future, strengthening social dialogue for inclusive and sustainable growth, and promotion and application of the ILO Tripartite Declaration of Principles concerning Multinational Enterprises and Social Policy.
