ILO defers decision

November 13, 2015 12:00 am

The International Labour Organisation Governing Body has deferred its decision on sending a Commission of Inquiry to Fiji until March 2016.

A statement from the Fiji government says the ILO Session instead decided that a tripartite mission to be sent to Fiji to review the obstacles to the submission of a joint implementation report and consider the pending matters in the complaint lodged against Fiji.

The Tripartite Mission is to prepare a report, which is to be submitted to the March 2016 session of the ILO Governing Body.
