If you pass you qualify for TELS: Reddy

December 16, 2015 3:51 am

Education Minister Dr Mahendra Reddy says the Tertiary Education Loans Scheme (TELS) is available to all students that have completed their Year 13 Certificate studies.

The minister clarified this issue after some media reported that only students with 250 marks and above qualify for the scholarships.

“TELS will be available to any child that has completed year 13 studies. It’s just that they may not be eligible for higher education studies but they are eligible for trade studies at FNU. Whether their marks are low or high that’s a different matter – their marks will determine what program they can enter.”
