ICC promotes Indian Dance

High profile dancers from India are in the country on a cultural tour.

Indian Cultural Centre, Director Dr Kamal Kishore Mishra says this will not only keep the Indian Culture alive in Fiji but has other benefits as well.

Dr Mishra says with the number of Bollywood films are now being shot in Fiji, there is a need for people in Fiji to keep the spirit of dance alive.

“This is a very golden time; the artists from India and the local Bharatnatyam artists have combined and are presenting their art.”

The group has performed two shows in the Central Division with seven more around the country.

This includes a show in Taveuni, Savusavu, Labasa , Rakiraki, Tavua, Lautoka and Nadi.
