Hope party leader, Tupou Draunidalo has revealed that she feels uncomfortable with the Social Democratic Liberal Party as she feels the party takes everything backwards.

Speaking during FBC TV’s ‘4 the Record’ show, Draunidalo says she disagrees with SODELPA’s policies and some of the values they uphold.

She claims SODELPA leader Sitiveni Rabuka thinks that he is the only person who knows what is good for i-Taukei.

”Sometimes they say they have a monopoly on i-Taukei issues and make other i-Taukei like myself like we don’t have opinion that matters. They think only they know what’s right for i-Taukei”

Draunidalo says now Rabuka has changed his words and claims that he supports indo-Fijians as well but she says Rabuka is inconsistent and has never stood by his word since 1987.

”Mr Rabuka has been around a long time in politics and if you see his utterances they change all the time. He does not have the principles that he will stand by from 1987 till today.”

Meanwhile, the SODELPA leader Sitiveni Rabuka says he has always supported indo-Fijians but whatever happened in the past cannot be forgotten but one can only learn from it and improve in future.

”We cannot get away from the past, we build upon our past for the future, we learn from the future and we embrace what was good. In the past we had some great leadership in the country and we cannot just discount everything.”

Meanwhile, Draunidalo says the voters are not as docile as people think of them as they have already given a chance to Rabuka in 1999.
