Due to the measles outbreak, the NGO Coalition for Human Rights has cancelled a march scheduled for tomorrow in Suva.

The march has been an annual event celebrating the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations General Assembly in 1948.

NGOCHR Chair, Nalini Singh says people need to adhere to the advisory from the Ministry of Health and Medical Services to not hold any large gatherings.

Singh says the coalition will have alternate plans for the day and urges members of the public to keep an eye on their social media as to how they can join the commemoration for Human Rights Day.
