The NGO Coalition on Human Rights held its annual march to mark World Human Rights Day today.

Fiji Womens Rights Movement Programs Director, Michelle Reddy says this is a time for reflection and also to promote human rights.

“We want to create awareness, not a lot of people know about their rights and some who do are scared to come and speak out, so by seeing other activist and women, and human rights defenders and people feel more comfortable and this space is even greater because its open space and people who are walking can just come and just visit and listen to messages that promotes human rights in Fiji.”

World Human Rights Day is celebrated today globally.
