May 28, 2018 1:20 am

150 delegates from the Pacific and international country are currently attending the 2018 Pacific Human Rights Conference.

Executive director of the Rainbow Pride Foundation Isikeli Vulavou says that it was important to follow up from the discussions that were held in Tonga three years ago.

“We engaged in serious discussions in Tonga and we will have more in-depth conversations this week so it’s just not a process of getting each other together and have fun because we are very serious with the issue that we face on a daily basis and discussions on how we can address these issues.”

The Conference is organised by the Pacific Sexual and Gender Diversity Network (PSGDN) and its partner agencies including Pacific Community (SPC) Regional Rights Resource Team (RRRT) Diva 4 Equality, Haus of Khameleon, Rainbow Pride Foundation and the Youth Champs for Mental Health.
