The Nadi Meteorology Office says the current weather pattern has developed due to the depression located South-West of Nadi.

Duty Forecaster Amit Singh says due to this an active trough has developed which has led to continuous rain over most parts of the group.

The Weather Office says rain is expected to ease by Saturday.

Meanwhile a tropical cyclone which is expected to develop near Solomon Islands will have no direct impact on Fiji.
