Seven households of the Nawaikama Village in Lomaiviti have had to evacuate due to a landslip.

Villager, Sivorosi Logavatu told FBC News the houses that were affected were located on a hill and is the first time for them to witness such an incident.

Logavatu says other areas are also being affected.

They are currently experiencing strong winds but no rain.
