September 13, 2018 6:59 pm

The Fiji Muslim League is planning to add resources at its Makoi Vocational Training center in Nasinu to accommodate for women travelling from the outer islands.

President, Hafizud Dean says they have a hostel facility at the vocational center which can cater for 20 women, however, is not being used due to the lack of resources.

Hence, the League is planning to start using the hostel facility from next year.

“I have had it since the time we started four years ago but we have not had the resources to start it because it needs extra funding. We are hopeful that we have got some funding and sponsorship coming so that we can get women from outer islands and from the country side and even the South Pacific if they want to come and start training from here.”

More than 600 women have graduated from the center since its establishment in 2015.

The courses have been provided free of charge.
