The HOPE party will not get rid of the initiatives of the current government which has been beneficial to Fijians.

Speaking during the FBC TV’s “4 the record” show, Party leader Tupou Draunidalo says the party believes in continuity and if they come into power they will try to take these initiatives forward.

Draunidalo says they realize that some initiatives will need to be improved.

“If we see that the policy is working and its benefiting those that it should benefit we will keep it and if we can improve it we will improve it and we don’t want to cause disturbance to government services.”

Meanwhile, Draunidalo says the party also agrees that VAT should be decreased on some basic food items.

The HOPE party is expected to launch their manifesto later this week.
