The National Fire Authority is worried at the recent spate of home fires.

As of the end of July – 49 home fires have been recorded by the Authority.

For July alone – ten homes were destroyed by fire.

NFA CEO John O’Connor says people are not taking fire safety seriously despite continuance awareness and advice by them.

O’Connor says some of the fires could have been easily avoided if people took simple preventative actions.
