Vendors at the Hibiscus Festival are unhappy with the deal that has been cut with them by the Hibiscus Events Group Inc, the organizing committee for the annual carnival.
The vendors who had initially handed a petition to the committee say that the 15 and 10 percent refunds proposed by the Hibiscus Events Group does not equate to the loss they have incurred this past few days.
Vendors Spokesperson Sera Waqabaca says they have taken their grievances back to the committee and are awaiting a response.
“They have agreed for the 15 percent and 10 percent, 15 percent for us i think 40’s up and 10 percent for the people down below, but we feel we are not happy with their decision because we have lost so much until now”.
She says the vendors are contemplating taking the matter to a higher authority if their demands are not met by the committee.
