The HFC Bank handed over $5000 as sponsorship to the United Blind Persons of Fiji for their awards night.

The HFC Bank today handed over $5000 as sponsorship to the United Blind Persons of Fiji for their awards night.

The banks general manager finance and administration Rajnesh Deo says the money will be used to award the senior manager of the year award recipient.

National Disability Awards chair Rajnel Prasad says this is the first time such an award is being organized.

“If you have members at home or at your office who are disabled and if you think they should be recognized please feel free to come and see us a the United Blind Person Fiji office at Brown Street and pick up the form from us and we will help you fill up the form.”

Prasad says the awards night will have six categories of awards namely Student of the year award, HFC Bank senior manager of the year, youth group of the year, sports person of the year, entrepreneur of the year and life time achievement award.

So far 200 applications has been received.

Prasad is urging other applicants to apply soon as the application closes on February 9th and the awards night will be on March 9th.
