Help for isolated Kadavu school

An isolated boarding school in Kadavu that had to close four times this year due to water problems finally have help on their doorstep.

Nabukelevuira Primary School has received two new 3,100 litter water tanks to
address their water needs.

Along with the water tanks – the school has also been given library books and library furniture – by the New Zealand High Commission.

According to the Acting Head Teacher Sereima Tuitubou students performances were greatly affected due to limited reading materials and resources.

Many of the books were also outdated.

The school has a roll of 92 students.
